As one of the recipients of the Hewlett Packard Teaching for Technology Leadership Grants, we have been undergoing many changes with the way teaching and learning is taking place at Des Lacs-Burlington High School. Our video, which was one of the finalists in the HP Multimedia Contest, shows that many of the things we were doing before technology integration can be done much better when technology is used backed up with professional development focusing on best practices and collaboration between staff, administration and students. We hope our video shows that as a result of the journey we started with guidance from Hewlett Packard and ISTE, our school is changing the way education looks, feels and operates. Although there have been a few growing pains along the way, we have experienced many more moments of success and excitement, anticipation and engagement, connections and relevancy. We know we have many more miles to go, but believe we are on the path to providing a future with more promise to our students.
